Privacy notice

Last updated 2026-04-15.

This notice explains how TrendTech collects, uses, and protects personal information through this website (trendtechsoft.com) and through our engagements with clients. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the relevant local data-protection legislation in the jurisdictions where we operate.

Who we are

The data controller is TrendTech Software, Lda., registered office at Rua Castilho 50, 4º, 1250-071 Lisbon, Portugal. You can contact us at privacy@trendtechsoft.com for any data-protection matter.

What we collect

We collect the minimum necessary for the lawful purposes set out below.

  • Business contact details. Name, work email, work phone, employer, role, when you reach out to us via the contact form, by email, or in person.
  • Engagement data. Information you share with us under the contract for a specific engagement, including project artefacts and personal data of your employees where we are acting as a processor on your behalf.
  • Site analytics. Anonymised aggregate data on visits to this site — page, country, referrer. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
  • Job applications. CV, cover letter, and any other materials you provide when applying to a role.

Why we hold it (lawful basis)

  • Performance of a contract for engagement-related personal data.
  • Legitimate interest for responding to your enquiry and maintaining a business relationship.
  • Legal obligation for tax, accounting, and regulatory records we are required to retain.
  • Consent for newsletter subscription (where applicable) and analytics where the law in a particular jurisdiction requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is retained for three years from last contact, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Engagement records are retained per the relevant contract — typically six years from contract close to satisfy professional indemnity and tax obligations. Job application records are retained for twelve months from application unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Where it goes

We use a small set of subprocessors to operate our business: email and document collaboration, accounting, and infrastructure. A current list is available to clients under NDA. We do not sell or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to object to processing, and to ask for a portable copy. To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@trendtechsoft.com. We will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with our response, you have the right to complain to the data-protection authority in your country.

International transfers

Where engagement work requires us to transfer personal data outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (2021/914/EC) supplemented by appropriate technical and organisational measures.
